JALENKWRIGHT Soundcloud deserves credit for resurrecting the one rapper/one producer formula of the early days of rap music. Enter gawdlee, a Georgia native and amateur rapper; he got his hands on a badsummer beat pack and used it to wish everyone the same. The concept is loose, the approach was simple, and, most importantly, gawdlee had fun recording these songs so it is difficult to not enjoy this EP. gawdlee's raps may seem basic but not every project has to be complex: it's okay to just be good (or bad). Favorite track: hopeyouhadabadsummer (prod. badsummer).
Bunko Stew

Bunko Stew The first track perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the EP. A great duo blending almost sad collages with a real down to earth take on a forever smooth flow. Favorite track: fortheonetime (prod. badsummer).

about

To be completely honest with you, this EP was purely a spontaneous decision, but putting these 5 short tracks together has been probably the funnest recording process ive had in my time as an artist. I didnt initially have a message to send, but as i was writing the songs i realized i just wanted to make it aware that my main objective is to grow and that im only getting better. so If you see the name "gawdlee" on anything i encourage you to peep it if only to see my progression. i take pride in my music because my thoughts, my emotions, the way i speak, and the melodies i choose are all an extension of who i am and what i like, and if you so happen to enjoy what i do then i sincerely appreciate you because that shows you appreciate me. thank you.

A million thanks to dustera, nua., Auratheory, and Clockwork Dublin for hosting the separate tracks on their pages, and also to all the usual supporters especially the ALWAYS PROPER team.
